Project Description
In RAS al-Khair/Saudi Araba, located about 75 km northwest of the city of Al Jubayl, a combined-cycle gas turbine power plant is being erected. The plant will include 6 blocks with each 2 gas turbines and 1 steam turbine. With a total capacity of 2,400 MW, the plant will energise an aluminium smelter as well as a seawater desalination plant which shall generate around 1 billion drinking water per day for 5 million inhabitants of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
