GPMS GmbH entrusted with the overall planning/scheduling for the new wafer manufacturing facility of GlobalFoundries in Dresden/Germany
GlobalFoundries intends to expand its plant to become the largest European wafer manufacturer. Until 2012, a new clean room with 10,000 square meters will be built. Hence, the capacity of the Dresden plant for the 45mn, 40nm and 28nm technologies will increase to 80,000 wafers per month. Besides that, it will be possible to develop research with 22nm technology. The volume of investments will be of approximately 1.3 billion EURO, and more than 100 new jobs will be created.
In this project, GPMS GmbH is responsible for the overall planning/scheduling for the phases of design, procurement, construction and startup of the entire project. This includes the construction of the buildings, the technical and processing facilities, the installation of the clean rooms as well as all phases of assembly of equipment and startup of the plant.
Since 1996, GPMS GmbH is in charge of planning/scheduling and controlling of several projects of construction of AMD / GlobalFoundries and is proud of participating in one more project.
