Intel Co., the biggest semiconductor manufacturer in the world, builts a new plant in Kiryat Gat, Israel, named Fab 28. The Israeli government provides financial support for the 3.5 billion US-Dollar investment which will create over 2,000 jobs. The plant will provide a clean room area of 18,500 square meters for the production of 300 mm wafers.
